- Objective: to provide Technical Assistance for analysing the current and future Needs in the Field of Climate Change for Montenegro; in order to achieve Chapter 27 goals in terms of Climate Change, an inventory of ongoing activities and the thereof resulting needs of future activities shall be undertaken.
- Output: Status Report: “Priorities, current and future Needs Analysis in the Field of Climate Change”
- Recommendations of the Status Report:
- Support to establishment and implementation of the national system for policies and measures (PAMs) and projections of anthropogenic GHG emissions by sources and removals by sinks
- Support to harmonisation and implementation of the Regulation EU 2018/841 on the inclusion of greenhouse gas emissions and removals from land use, land use change and forestry (LULUCF) in the 2030 climate and energy framework
- Full implementation of the emission trading system (EU ETS) in Montenegro, aiming at full alignment with the EU ETS Directive (including ETS in aviation, buildings, maritime and road transport) and its respective implementing directives
